"Sick in the Head" Politics...

Try to understand the Little Baby Man?!

Not so much politics as pathology: something abnormal, the structural and functional deviations from the normal that constitute disease...

You can try to plumbs the depths of the man's mind. A scary journey to the heart of darkness.

Read Josh Marshall, he gives it a go: "I would say that this ability - both the President's pathological lying and our institutions' inability to grapple with it - is the big, big story. The particulars of the accusation basically pale in comparison."

Little Baby Man tells us:

"I alone can fix it." (Delusions of Grandeur.)

"I am smart." (Doesn't know what he doesn't know.)

Every day we find that the man is incapable of grasping simple things, he is unsound of mind. Unsound. Quite amazing that one man so blatantly "sick in the head," could rise to this very public position of power.

Sick.

I am stunned by the constant, blatant, pathological lying. Lying with no chance of passing the "smell test." Any thinking, sentient being can see that the man has a very slim grasp on reality.

Blame-shifting. Taking no responsibility for his words and actions. Claiming super-powers, never admitting a mistake, never taking responsibility for failure. Totally insecure. An overblown, gaudy, over-bearing, EGO.

This is beyond politics. This is not "conservative," or "liberal" or "moderate." I see no coherent politics at all. Just disease. And this diseased mind leads us to a politics of "breaking things."

We are in a new era of the  Cult of Personalitywhen an individual uses mass media, propaganda, or other methods to create an idealized, heroic, and at times worshipful image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Sociologist Max Weber developed a tripartite classification of authority; the cult of personality holds parallels with what Weber defined as "charismatic authority". A cult of personality is similar to divinization, except that it is established by mass media and propaganda usually by the state, especially in totalitarian (or sometimes authoritarian) states.

Where is this sick in the head person leading us? Most of us can't, won't follow. Impossible to follow. Not possible to go with him on his journey into madness. He is a madman. Alone. This can't, won't end well. Just hope he doesn't take us all down with him.
