Sometimes it seems the Universe itself is sort of like one Grand Conspiracy. Lots of moving parts. One mammoth structure encompassing everything. Every atom, every molecule. And everything has it's place and purpose. Even if the Universe doesn't have to explain a thing. It just is...
Sometimes there really are "conspiracies:"
noun, plural conspiracies.

3. a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
4. Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud,or other wrongful act.
5. any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.
This morning I find Josh Marshall is back on the Russian Hacking/Dupe in the White House case. It is not crazy to see a revelation of a conspiracy slowing unfolding. We are watching a coverup, a kooky, inept coverup, and it's unraveling. It's odd, disorienting, confusing. But those of us convinced there is an underlying crime, or sequence of crimes, are not wrong. We are not batty. Not kooks. We are on the right trail.
I think the story is so big, complex, all-consuming it's almost impossible to see it in all it's mad glory. I think Big Little Baby Man built a branding empire on a culture of corruption. His deep immersion in corruption blinded him. All this money from foreign entities, he thought it was all good. Money is money.
He and his empire were built on laundered money from Russian Mobsters and Oligarchs. His business was/is a money-laundering operation of long-standing. Which maybe in New York Real Estate isn't so bad. I mean, another corrupt real estate guy. Who cares?!
But then, this Idiot stumbled into the White House, and he brought his casual corruption with him. And he was vaulted forward by some incredibly bad actors. And now, it's all coming home to roost. Hell, even USA Today is now on the story... Little Baby Man's Empire is built on $ from Russia/Putin/Mobsters/Oligarchs! A Hostile Foreign Power has a Dupe in the White House!
