What's a Humble Pilgrim to do? "Be here now." It is a practice, & a disicpline. Sometimes, that means going to a house-concert to listen to two fabulous musicians play in a beautifully appointed apartment. Candle-light and drapery. Paintings & sculptures. Creative humans in the audience; painters, poets, musicians. Kind and caring folks, gathered together.
So, yes, we left our troubled minds behind, and bathed in the beauty & emotion of the moment. It was a healing thing. Good for the head, the heart, the soul. No one mentioned the shite, the darkness, the ugliness. All that was left behind.
Sure, a turning away, a turning to another way. Beauty & Hope. In the room. Right there before us. In the moment. In the eyes and heads of our fellow human beings. It was a good thing to do. Be here now. Yes, indeed.
