The Vibe = Deeply-Dark...

Reading the vibe of the room. The vibe of the room is deeply-dark. You know, bleak, disturbing, confounding, confusing, maddening.  We are constitutionally pitted against the vibe. Every fiber of our beings is in opposition. The vibe of the room says "Surrender Dorothy." Resigned. Philosophical. Biding our time. A healthy, calculated retreat. There is an onslaught of bad news, bad acts, bad faith, just plain badness writ large. So we are hunkering down. Fortifying ourselves with nourishing food for body, head, spirit. Marshalling our forces of resistence. Still, this is a time of letting go, watching the river flow, and trying to take care. Hanging in. Paying attention. Aware, alive, awake. Honing a healthy detachment from the chaos all around. In it, but not of it. Thinking that if we are disciplined, strong-willed, we can manage, keep our heads in the game without getting swamped. Trusting in gravity, common sense, a fiery sense of humor. So, yes, surrendering to the vibe, examining it, observing and testing it. Surrendering in an actively positive way. There is a flame, a guiding light, that can't be touched, alive, deep in our beings. Damn the torpedoes.
