Big news day yesterday. My favorite President of all-time, Joe Biden is ending his campaign for a 2nd term, and endorsing VP Kamala Harris instead. To say that I am knocked out with excitement and totally jazzed up would be an understatement. Joe is an amazing American. He embodies the best of us. Really. We are lucky to have him in our lives. It is world-shaking news, but I think it's brilliant & essential. This is the way forward to protect our little democractic experiment, and to thrive as a nation.
Let's cut to the chase. Forget the media filter here is Joe's statement:
"My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. What an honorable, generous, humble, intelligent, empathetic leader. In this age of selfishness, hubris, overblown ego, Joe rises to the occasion of selfless leadership. Stunning. Inspirational. Wonderful.
