Sure. We live in a Universe where the Light & the Dark forces always dance around us. There are few ideas that seem to be true any time, any era, any human realm. Lord Action nailed it, no doubt. It seems to be an idea that never fails. Humans Beings crave Power, and Power corrupts. It's as clear as a clear day.
There's also this from the Lord: "Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainty of corruption by authority."
I find it difficult to argue with Lord Action. I mean, you know, look at the evidence...
