Thinking & Feeling...

Oh man. That is why I love reading books. I came across that line of Walpole's from reading William Finnegan's masterpiece memoir: "Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life."

So, yes, well, the dichotomy of being human: we are all always thinking and feeling. Being human means we are burdened/gifted with both. We are always straddling the comedy/tragedy divide. Trying to manage and balance competing forces.  It explains so much...
