After all these years of rich and poor people ganging up and beating on poor people (Why would poor people beat up on other poor people? No one wants to be poor, no one wants to identify with the poor!) we finally get some rich people beating up on other rich people.
And not a moment too soon.
Maybe this all goes nowhere, I mean, Goldman Sachs will have a team of the best lawyers in the biz fighting tooth and nail, or alternatively negotiating some slight tap on the wrist.
But it is good to see someone throw down the gauntlet. See, I'm an optimist, hopefully not a sap. And clearly these guys are crooks! They are not the best and brightest. They are craven greed-heads feeding at the trough.
And we are such a rich-obsessed, celebrity-crazed society, we actually end up applauding, and lauding these wealthy criminals.
As Woody Guthrie once sang, "Yes, as through this world I've wandered, I've seen lots of funny men; Some will rob you with a six-gun, And some with a fountain pen."
And that fountain pen skullduggery draws real blood and devastates real lives...
