Jesus seemed like a nice enough dude. He got a raw deal. I like how he preached Love & Forgiveness. He hung out with poor people, working folks, immigrants, whores, the sick and the lame.
I think of Jesus as a Jewish Rebel. An outsider, an underdog, a shit-stitter. He may have had a bit of a Messiah Complex and that led to his undoing.
When I see anyone "down and out," on the street, I think: "There but for the Grace of God, go I." That's a good code for living.
What's my idea of God? I have no idea. I think of a nebulous cloud or vibration of Good. Is there a Heaven or Hell? Yes. Probably right here, right now.
Anyway, it's Easter 2025. What does it mean? Not a lot. Just another day. One of those Holy Days that really have no resonance for me.
We did hear that the Pope shunned Vice President J.D. Vance, one of the more contemptible people in the Trump administration, and that made us smile. This current Pope is a good egg. No doubt. Maybe the best Pope we have ever had?
Snatching people, disappearing them off the street and shipping them to prisons in a foreign land, to rot in jail forever? I don't think the Pope is down with that shite.
This Pope has always focused on caring for the poor & the downtrodden. Amen brother. Anyway, we are always on the hunt for the "good news," you know, good news like this...
