"She knows there's no success like failure / And that failure's no success at all,"
Bob Dylan's 1965 song "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" on the album Bringing It All Back Home.
I am also thinking about Success & Failure. It is a certain private obsession built into the fabric of my being. I mean, it's embedded in me, not by choice. A sort of cross to bear. I suppose, I would amend Dylan's line like so: "There really is no success, only infinite degrees of failure."
Not as poetic or musical. But, my experience tells me it is essentially "true." The trick is to navigate through the murky cloud of failure, and deal with it as best one can.
