The Pope has passed away. Rumors that VP J.D. Vance killed him are most likely false. But, you know, close promitiy and maximum toxicity emanating from that creep means anything is possible.
Probably the best Pope in my lifetime. Maybe the best ever? Who knows?! Let the Vatican intrigue unfold. I think it's weird and snaky process, electing a new Pope. Often times the Catholic church has resembled a corrupt Mafia-like organization with murder, Pedophile Priests, and abuse of children, and coverups. A long, crooked, ugly history. Also the Vatican was notoriously friendly to Fascists and other malcontents. So, we were lucky to have a Pope who modeled himself on Saint Francis of Assisi. As Saints go Saint Francis A was a good egg. He took a vow of poverty. Froliced with the tiny creatures of the land; he was an Italian poet, mystic, preacher & beggar. Ha. That's the kind of guy you want to "Saint," even if the whole "Saint" thing is sort of ridiculous. So, anyway, just another turn of the worm. What's gonna happen now in the land of the Popes? Who knows, although the grand theme lately seems to be maximum chaos. Yikes.
