We had a little kitchen rehearsal with him first to familiarize him with the songs. He pointed out that one of our songs went from 6/8 time to 4/4 time. Who knew?!
It was a totally thrilling session - one hour of concentrated beauty. Nick is an amazing, intuitive player. He brought a great focus and professionalism to the moment. He did a couple passes on each song and there were smiles all around. His contribution will be a highlight of the record, no doubt!
