This is How to Do It...

We didn't talk about current events. That was a little protest right there. Instead, we gathered together to listen to music, to say "hello" to each other; like-minded folks reaching out for a healing & a renewing: musicians, poets, writers, people from all walks of life. It was a celebration. There was joy & love in the room. Overflowing, over-stuffed, a defiant, enthusiastic, joy. A turning away, a turning towards the light in each other. We all felt the power of a lively, intelligent, giving spirit emanating from inside us and floating up & around us. We were all bathing in the power of great music, great performers, and the good feeling and spirit of the gathered tribes. It was not a surrender, it was a defiant-rebellion and a soul-enriching choice. We all refused to be defeated, refused to be despondent. We all knew we were on the right track, riding the vibes. It was all so essential. This is how to do it; to carry on, turn away from the madness & darkness. Yes. And damn the torpedoes.
