I agree with Zack Beauchamp of Vox...
The FBI Probe into Trump & Russia is Huge News.
And our Political system isn't ready for it. Maybe unable to deal with it. And our populace is so divided, and jaded, and weary: people are yawning, some are in deep denial, and some of us, a few of us, are jumping around with their hair on fire...
Here's Beauchamp: "We’re so used to reports on Trump’s Russia ties that it’s easy to lose sight of the enormity here: There is an official FBI investigation into a presidential campaign’s possible collusion with a hostile foreign power for the first time in US history."
The impossible is possible, and then well, it's sort of old news. But not really, not at all. This is the deepest stuff. Cuts to the heart of everything we ever thought about America.
How does it get to the point where the impossible is the new normal? What kind of freak-azoid zone have entered?
The NYT's Matthew Rosenberg: "Folks, let’s take a step back and absorb the fact that the FBI has confirmed there is an espionage investigation involving the White House."
Not sure where this all goes, but for sure it's going somewhere... unchartered territory... this is mind-blowing stuff, we all should be stunned, and worried, and engaged. And if we are not, we are in deeper shit than we all realized...
